The client had a very clear remit, which was to ensure a solution was designed that minimised the impact in terms of noise and safety to the tenants within the building.
Drones were used to fully assess the condition of the building skin along with thermal imaging to build a real picture of the façade performance issues identified. Tests were then undertaken to evaluate the feasibility of restoring and protecting key elements of the curtain walling rather than replacement.
Three different project options were then provided to the client, which enabled them to make clear practical, budgetary and design decisions on which option should be taken to refurbish the building skin. Building Transformation then implemented the project for the client.
